ALBANY—“The Tax Reform and Fairness Commission has issued a thoughtful and thorough report, and is recommending a number of tax policy changes that will streamline and modernize the state's business tax code, and improve New York's economic competitiveness,” said Heather C. Briccetti, Esq., president and CEO of The Business Council of New York State, Inc. “It also includes proposals to lower the total state and local tax burdens on low income residents, and reduce filing and compliance costs for individuals and business alike. While we are still reviewing its detailed recommendations, we see many provisions that we strongly support that will promote economic growth in New York State.”
