ALBANY—The Business Council of New York State, and the New York Building Congress are co-hosting a forum that focuses on the opportunities that may arise to rebuild New York's infrastructure and create jobs through the anticipated federal stimulus legislation. Featured speakers will provide valuable insight about New York's vast infrastructure needs including mass transportation, roads, bridges, state asset maximization and other projects. A briefing about the federal stimulus legislation will conclude the forum.

With billions of dollars at stake in the anticipated federal stimulus legislation and the proposed SFY 2009-10 Executive Budget, all businesses need to understand the ramifications of these proposals. From the building of roads, bridges and schools, to the procurement of advanced technology and equipment for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, infrastructure spending is our best opportunity to provide a much needed boost for New York State's economy.
