ALBANY—Heather Briccetti, president and CEO of The Business Council of New York State, Inc. said, “The U.S. Chamber's report that places New York in the top ten states in terms of positive policy developments, is a clear indication that the pro-business initiatives of Governor Cuomo and the State Legislature are starting to show results. The enactment of two consecutive budgets with no new taxes and limited spending, a property tax cap, pension reforms, important investments in job creation and critical infrastructure, and the use of regional economic councils, send a strong message to the state's business community and the rest of the nation that New York has turned the corner and moved in a direction that will lead to a better economy.”

New York moved up 11 spots in this year's performance rankings.
