ALBANY, N.Y.— The Business Council of New York State, Inc. is announcing the 22 state lawmakers who achieved the highest scores on The Business Council's Voters' Guide by voting for lower taxes and a pro-jobs agenda the past two years.
“All of these legislators in both houses realize that the path to prosperity for New York is to lower taxes and the cost of doing business,” said Kenneth Adams, president and CEO of The Business Council of New York State. “These legislators have consistently voted for a pro-jobs agenda to get New York back to work.”
The Business Council's Voters' Guide measured key votes over the past two years.
There are ten top voting records in the Assembly, each with a 92 percent record. They are:

Jane Corwin (R, 142nd AD)
Gary Finch (R-C, 123rd AD)
Michael Fitzpatrick (R-C, 7th AD)
Stephen Hawley (R, 139th AD)
Jim Hayes (R-C, 148th AD)
Tony Jordan (R-C, 112th AD)
Brian Kolb (R-C-I, 129th AD)
Peter Lopez (R, 127th AD)
Bob Oaks (R-C, 128th AD)
In the Senate, Owen Johnson (R-C, 4th SD) had the top voting record at 90 percent. Eleven others had voting records of 82 percent. They are:
