ALBANY, N.Y.—Heather C. Briccetti, Esq. president and CEO of The Business Council, today sent a letter to the four members of the New York State Board of Elections opposing changes to the classification of limited liability companies under state election law. The Business Council contends that as a matter of law, any changes to the classification can only be done legislatively and cannot be adopted through agency rule-making.
