ALBANY— “Attorney General Andrew Cuomo's bill to make local government consolidation easier is an important reform that can help lower the cost of government in the state,” said Kenneth Adams, president & CEO of The Business Council of New York State.
“The New NY Government Reorganization and Citizen Empowerment Act will provide local government officials and ordinary citizens tools to make local government work more efficiently,” added Adams.
“The Business Council is pleased that this legislation enjoys the support of Gov. David Paterson and bi-partisan support in the legislature. We urge the legislature to pass this bill and send to the Governor for his signature,” said Adams.
