The Business Council will co-sponsor the third annual Privacy and Data Security Summit Feb. 26-28 at the Washington Hilton Hotel.

The International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) says it is coordinating this summit in response to the need for practical, industry-targeted, security training.

The conference agenda will include a range of networking opportunities with the nation's leaders in privacy and data security.

The summit will cover various topics, including discussions of:

  • Privacy and data security operational environments.
  • The role of privacy professionals in industry.
  • The intersection of privacy issues and security.
  • Key components of a privacy and data-security program.

Scheduled speakers include chief privacy officers from Eastman Kodak, Verizon, IBM, AOL-Time Warner, AT&T Wireless, and Proctor & Gamble. The agenda also includes various government officials from the United States, Australia, and Canada, as well as some of the nation's leading experts on privacy and data-security issues.
