The Business Council is pleased to be hosted again by Board member company O’Brien & Gere in their downtown headquarters office.

The 2012 legislative session has concluded in Albany. Join us to hear the latest HR legislative information coming out of the session. 2012 is an election year and anything can happen!

This HR Legislative briefing will cover HR-related legislative results of the 2012 legislative session. The Assembly announced a proposal for a higher minimum wage this year. And let’s not forget about the “bullying” bill, mandated time off proposals, the Governor’s paycheck deduction bill and more… Where were our HR advocacy efforts channeled in 2012?

We’ll also review the ongoing efforts to repeal the annual employee notice requirement of the Wage Theft Prevention Act. Bills were introduced and moved in both houses. Catch up on the latest.

Please join us for this information filled session!
