Albany, N.Y. - Congratulations to the Senate Republicans on their apparent victory this evening. We would also like to congratulate our endorsed candidates in both houses and of both parties for their wins. Tonight’s results are proof that a pro-growth, pro-jobs platform is a winning message across New York State. Now we need to get back to business and tackle the fundamental issues holding back the state’s economy. We need to enact real, meaningful, workers’ compensation reform. We must maintain strict adherence to the two-percent spending cap and ensure the property tax cap is not weakened. Lawmakers must also look for opportunities to reduce the state’s heavy compliance burden and its impact on the ability for New York State businesses to invest, grow and thrive. We look forward to working with the Governor and the legislative leaders of all parties on pro-growth reforms that will improve the lives of all New Yorkers.”
